The Moose lost a dynamic forward in Jets prospect Brayden Yager on Monday after he got the recall up to the big club but today they will add another solid forward to the mix with the news that Walker Duehr cleared waivers and can be assigned to the AHL club of Manitoba.

The South Dakota product produced quite a bit of offence (17G 17A in 62 games last season for Manitoba) on a hockey team that was close to the bottom in the league for offence. He also played three games during the 2025-26 season for the Jets.
He was dealing with a lower-body issue that had been nagging him since training camp, if not before, so he got healthy and after practicing with Winnipeg a few times was cleared to play again. After being placed on waivers he is now free to join the Moose for their six-game road trip which starts tomorrow night in Grand Rapids.
He will join a team that is near the top of the league, admittedly in a small number of games, in terms of goals scored, power play, penalty kill and more.
