Winnipeg Jets 2026-27 schedule released

For the first time ever, the league will play 84 games in a season.

We learned on Wednesday that the home opener is against the Bruins on Friday, October 2, which is a bit of a departure from the previous four seasons, when the Jets hosted Boston in December each year.

With the move to the new schedule, the Jets will play each Eastern Conference team twice (32 games), each Pacific Division team three times (24 games), and each Central Division team four times (28 games). That means a home-and-home against every Eastern team, an uneven home/road split against Pacific opponents, and two home games and two road games against each Central Division rival.

Now the full schedule for the 2026-27 season is out. Some relevant dates for Jets fans to see former Winnipeg players include:

Luke Schenn (Canucks): Feb. 28, 2027
Eric Comrie (Sharks): Dec. 28, 2026
Ville Heinola (Golden Knights): Jan. 2, 2027
David Gustafsson (Penguins): Feb. 21, 2027

Notable:

The Heritage Classic game is October 25th.

Jets will host the Stars in back-to-back games (on consecutive days) in December. Believe it’s the first time Winnipeg has hosted the same opponent in consecutive games since doing so against the Capitals in 2013 (not including during coviid).

They also have a home and home set against the Flames to end 2026 and kick off 2027.
