The full 84-game schedule for the Jets will be released Thursday, but one date is already on the calendar.
Winnipeg’s home opener for the 2026-27 season will be on Friday, Oct. 2 against the Bruins.

It’s a change from the last four years, which featured Boston making its annual visit to Winnipeg in December.
Looking at the other 31 teams, the Jets are not part of any other team’s home opener.
As an aside, looking at the full NHL home opener release, it’s strange (but welcome) to see the season starting in late September.
