Note: The Jets are done. The Moose are done. We will still try to get you anything relevant to the pro hockey clubs of Manitoba during the next little bit. Of course the big focus is on the 2026 NHL Draft for which the Jets hold the 8th overall selection in just two weeks time. We will be spending quite a bit of time learning about the players who could hear their name get called by Winnipeg. You can also check out our chat with Craig Button as it pertains to the pick here. We will be at the Jets Draft Party on Friday, June 26th doing a live first round broadcast so be sure you’re following along on our YouTube channel.
Note II: Former Jets winger Nikolaj Ehlers had a big hand (3A including this beauty and this one) in helping the Hurricanes take a 3-2 series lead over the Golden Knights which put his club one win away from the Stanley Cup.
Note III: We learned on Thursday that former Manitoba Moose head coach and Jets assistant coach Pascal Vincent is back in the NHL. He’s joining Seattle as an assistant coach after leading his hometown Laval Rocket to back-to-back North Division titles in the AHL.
