The Moose have a final day of practice here in Winnipeg before they get set to play the first game of their second round series against the Western Conference-leading Griffins. Their task got all the more difficult with news that Jets D prospect Elias Salomonsson is done for the playoffs after needing shoulder surgery and would be getting no help from Nikitia Chibrikov who is also done for the playoffs after having successful core muscle surgery last week.
About the only question mark is prospect Alfons Freij (2024 2nd) who didn’t skate on Thursday.
Skate news:
Tight practice today as they limited the extras to one forward (Tyson Empey) and one defenceman (Dawson Barteaux). Sure looked like prospect Garrett Brown will make his debut as he skated alongside Dylan Anhorn.
Pro debut:
It was confirmed after skate that he will make his pro debut tomorrow.
