While for all intents and purposes training camp has ended the NHL regular season doesn’t really get underway until tomorrow (despite Nashville and San Jose playing regular season games over in Europe already) so today would count as the final day of camp. The Jets have remain in Banff today where they have been team building and practicing the last four days.
Official 23-man roster:
The Jets needed to be roster compliant by Monday afternoon with no more than 23 players on the roster they submitted to the NHL. Technically they have 24 as they claimed Axel Jonsson-Fjallby from the Caps on Monday but he is currently awaiting a work visa. However that may be staved off given an injury to a roster player could push back the need to make that decision.
Skate news:
As per Ken Wieber of Sportsnet Pierre-Luc Dubois has returned to practice after missing it yesterday and Mason Appleton is wearing a red non-contact uniform. We also get insight from Alberta on the lines and D pairs courtesy of Wieber.
