The theme of being outshot continued in the middle frame as Calgary held a 7-0 edge approaching the midpoint of the period. Dylan DeMelo got the first shot and then seconds later Kyle Connor snipped a beauty on just their second shot of the 2nd.

Short handed specialist Mark Scheifele finished off the scoring for Winnipeg late in the 2nd as he put home a beauty pass from Kyle Connor on the penalty kill.

Rookie Cole Perfetti was hit in the numbers for the second straight game and while he was slow to get up the good news for the team is he appeared to be fine and played the rest of the game.

Sure it’s pre-season but the Jets power play has been firing in these exhibition games. Assistant coach Brad Lauer’s impact being felt early in his tenure with Winnipeg.
