Note: It was a slow day 4 of training camp yesterday in Winnipeg on Sunday although there was some injury updates from coach Rick Bowness on Brad LambertWyatt Bongiovanni and Morgan Barron which you can read here.

Note II: The playing group flew to Edmonton on Sunday morning to kick off the pre-season with a game against the Oilers which they lost 4-0. The biggest news from the game came before the puck even dropped as it was announced by Dan Robertson, that he is the new play by play voice of the Winnipeg Jets.

Note III: The team is off today. They return to the ice on Tuesday as they get set to play the Senators later that night in Winnipeg.

Jets news:

Sportsnet: David Gustafsson’s smart play helps him stand out in Jets’ loss to Oilers. Given that he is no longer waiver exempt the Jets are gonna need him to seize a spot on the roster and if he can stay healthy there is no reason he shouldn’t be able to as he brings with him a strong skillset that Winnipeg will be able to utilize.
