Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Jets and Moose news, video and audio.

Note: The Jets took Saturday off. Today they face the New York Rangers for the first time this season and it will be the first time in over two years the Blueshirts are in Winnipeg (last game was February 11th, 2020). Morning skate is at 9:30 AM CT so check out the pre-game report to get the full 411 ahead of the game. Puck drop which is at 7 PM CT and following the final buzzer we want you to join the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show.

Note II: The Moose didn’t get off to a great start on Saturday as they spotted the IceHogs a 2-0 lead which a CJ Suess goal (see here) cut in half but early in the middle frame they found themselves down 3-1. They flipped the game at the end of the 2nd period when David Gustafsson scored for his second straight game (see here) and then Johnny Kovacevic followed that up 42 seconds later to tie the game 3-3 (see here) with one minute left in the period. Jeff Malott hit a new career high in goals (15) as he scored early in the 3rd period (see here) to give the Moose a 4-3 lead which was followed a few minutes later by Ville Heinola going on a run before he fired it on net (see here) where it was tipped by the recently reassigned Austin Poganski to make it 5-3 which is how the game ended. They improved to 18-6-0-1 in Winnipeg and 29-17-2-1 overall. The team is off today.

Note III: Jets 2021 5th rounder Dmitry Rashevsky scores his first goal of the post-season. See it here.
