Quick recap:

The Moose returned to the script they wrote in the first couple of games of this series outshooting the Heat 11-1 at one point before a couple of Manitoba power play allowed Stockton to register a few more shots in the period.  Bobby Lynch got the team on the board putting home a puck that ended up on his stick to give the Moose a 1-0 lead late in the middle frame. The 2nd period concluded with the home side holding a 25-11 shot edge. It was looking like they would add to their lead on the power play in the final frame but instead it was Stockton who scored shorthanded when Eetu Tuulola beat Mikhail Berdin with 11:11 to go in the period.  The game would require extra time which Jets 2018 2nd rounder David Gustafsson ended with a beauty goal. Manitoba improved t0 15-11-2-1 on the season.

Noteworthy:

This game concluded a record 17 straight games played at the IcePlex for the Moose.

Manitoba ended the homestand with an eight game points streak going 7-0-0-1 during that stretch.

Jets 2017 3rd rounder Johnny Kovacevic had an assist on the opening goal of the game and the OT winner which gives him nine points (2G 7A) in his last eight games. The assist on the opening goal of the game was his ninth assist this season which sets a new career high in helpers.

Jets 2020 1st rounder Cole Perfetti‘s points streak (4G 9A for 13 points) came to an end at seven games.

Jets 2018 2nd rounder David Gustafsson scored an absolute beauty to win the game in OT.  That was his second straight game with a goal for the Moose and his fifth of the season and he is almost at a point per game picking up his 14th points of the season (5G 9A) in game number 15.
