Winnipeg Jets 2019 5th rounder Logan Neaton has entered the NCAA transfer portal

Another Jets goalie prospect enters the transfer portal.

Just two days ago we got a refresher about the NCAA transfer portal as Jets 2018 6th rounder and Minnesota goalie Jared Moe entered it. Today a second Jets goalie prospect has gone that route.  Once again the news comes via our good friend Brad Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald who indicated that Jets 2019 5th rounder and goalie at UMass Lowell Logan Neaton has entered the portal.

Neaton has only played three games in both his freshman and sophomore seasons for the River Hawks.

Brad gave us this insight on Moe which would apply to Neaton on what it means to transfer:

Under NCAA rules, graduates do not have to sit out a year when they transfer. Those who do not earn a degree currently have to unless they obtain a waiver. However, it is widely expected that the NCAA is going to pass a new rule, perhaps as early as next month, that will allow all non-graduates a one-time transfer without having to sit out a season. Even if that doesn’t pass, Moe would be able to apply for a waiver.
