During his media availability this afternoon the reigning Vezina winner had this to say:

“I try to incorporate a little bit of myself and Winnipeg all together. So I know the Winnipeg Zoo has polar bears so I wanted to to throw a polar bear on there. And then you see me on the dog sled with my dog Tinley. He’s an Alaskan Malamute sled pulling dog so that’s a little touch into my personal life. And then the border I wanted to be a little more country, cause I feel like that’s what Winnipeg is. It’s surrounded by farmland and country and I really like that feel. I have a really good painter (Steve Nash) that can pull off all this awesome paint jobs and I think he pulled together real nice this time.”

For those curious about the back of his helmet he and I discussed that back in 2016.

From Michigan, played in Odessa (Jackalopes), the Oilrig is their third logo and the Riverhawks was my college team and these (numbers) are my college goalies that I was there with.” (#31 would be Doug Carr and #30 would be Brian Robbins).

You can check out what Steve Nash and the Eyecandyair folks do via their twitter or Insta accounts.
