After losing a trio of players (Mark Scheifele, Patrik Laine & Mason Appleton) in Game 1, the Jets were able to survive Game 2 relatively unscathed. They haven’t been so lucky so far in Game 3 as both Tucker Poolman and Mathieu Perreault left the ice in the 2nd period.
Poolman’s was a brutal injury as he slid to block a shot and took a puck to the face:

Later in the middle frame Flames centre Sam Bennett laid this hit on Mathieu Perreault who was forced to leave the game without putting much weight on his right leg.

During the 2nd intermission former NHL GM turned TV analyst Brian Burke couldn’t understand how both referees on the ice didn’t call a penalty on Bennett and felt the league would look into it.
Poolman initially didn’t come out to start the 3rd period but shortly after joined his teammates wearing a full cage while Perreault took a skate but then went back down the tunnel.
Update:
Following the 6-2 loss Jets Head Coach Paul Maurice was asked about the Bennett hit on Perreault. Maurice said had it made contact with Perreault’s head then he would have had a big problem with it. Maurice didn’t have an update on the status of the veteran forward for Winnipeg.
