Winnipeg Jets winger Nikolaj Ehlers to go, but not play, on three-game road trip

Five days ago the Jets placed Nikolaj Ehlers on IR retroactive to October 18th which meant he would have been eligible to come off IR, provided he was healthy, on the 25th. The team was off on Tuesday and as per the reports from practice today he wasn’t skating.

Following practice associate coach Scott Arniel, via per Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun, indicated that the dynamic Dane would be coming on the road trip which starts tomorrow in L.A. but wouldn’t play any of the three games on the road.

Ehlers has played in just two games for Winnipeg with three assists.
