Winnipeg Jets Practice Report

Quick skate before they head out on the road for three games.

The Jets hit the ice this morning before they take off for California where they will kick off their three-game road trip on Thursday night.  The big question marks heading into practice surrounds the health of head coach Rick Bowness, who missed the last game as he was resting following his bout with covid last week, and Dylan Samberg who was wearing a non-contact uniform at morning skate on Monday.

Skate news:

According to Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun both questions heading into practice have been somewhat answered as he indicated that head coach Rick Bowness is not on the ice for practice and that Dylan Samberg has shed his non-contact uniform for a regular jersey. He also added that Logan Stanley isn’t skating this morning and that Nikolaj Ehlers is also not present. The lines and D pairs below come via Scott.

Health updates:

Here is the latest from associate coach Scott Arniel who indicated that head coach Rick Bowness will not be making the trip on the road as he had a setback, likely because he jumped back too quickly.  Logan Stanley, who didn’t practice today, will be on the trip but is dealing with soreness after getting hit by a shot in the last game. Lastly, he also advised that Nikolaj Ehlers will be on the road trip but won’t be playing as he is progressing but sounds like he’ll be limited to skating with the extras.
