Winnipeg Jets Skills Competition returns for first time since 2019-20 season

The Skills Competition returns for the first time in a couple of seasons.

One of the things I’ve noticed this season is that fans seem more connected to the Jets. Part of the reason for this, I believe, is that fans once again have the opportunity to get up close and personal with NHL and AHL players (i.e at Fan Fest this summer). It was something that has been missing from the market due to the pandemic. Something as simple as a young kid fist bumping a Jets or Moose player can mean the world to a little kid.

Another sign of a return to normality is the return of the Jets Skills Competition which this season will be held on January 4th, 2023.

It is an opportunity for the glass to be removed and for fans to get a picture or an autograph from their favourite Jets players. The atmosphere is much more relaxed and every year fans seem to enjoy both the skills on display and the prizes given away.
