The Moose have been pushing hard for a playoff spot the last little while as they jockey for position in the top 3 of the Central with the Stars (77 points) and Admirals (75 points) while they currently sit with 74 points.
One of the reasons Manitoba is in this position has been the play of Jets 2018 5th rounder Declan Chisholm who has had a stellar season for the AHL club of Winnipeg. He currently sits second on the team in points and fifth overall in the AHL for points amongst defenceman. He was named to and attended the AHL All-Star game earlier in the season.

In fact in Saturday’s 6-1 win over the Wolves he had an assist which established a new assist record amongst the Moose D group since the team returned to Winnipeg in 2015-16.
The win in the re-match on Sunday came with a cost however as he slid into the boards and was unable to put any weight on his left leg.
Moose head coach Mark Morrison told me this morning he suffered a high-ankle sprain. Chisholm had an MRI today and I was told that there is no timeline for how long he’ll be out.
Tough news.
