Back in the 2022 NHL Draft the Jets selected defenceman Garrett Brown of the Sioux City Musketeers in the USHL. Brown, the son of former NHLer Curtis Brown was committed to play at the University of Denver.
The 4th rounder has played in eight games this season for the Pioneers and has four assists.
Unfortunately that is where his stat line for the 2023-24 season will end as the Denver Hockey tweeted this out this afternoon:
Garrett Brown underwent a successful surgery today to address a lower-body injury and will miss the remainder of the season. He is expected to be ready for the start of the 2024-25 campaign.
