With the Connor Hellebuyck trade starting to fade into the rearview mirror and today’s Jets Alumni Game taking centre stage as part of Heritage Classic weekend, the focus for the present-day Jets shifts to tomorrow night. Winnipeg will be looking to snap a four-game winless streak (0-2-2) when they take on the Canadiens at Princess Auto Stadium.
Pre-skate news:
Couple of things of note happening this afternoon as Jack St. Ivany was claimed by the Capitals off waivers which means the Jets lost some organizational depth on defence, The team also announced the recall of prospect Elias Salomonsson up from the Moose, which is interesting given he had blocked a shot and was being examined by team doctors.
Skate news:
Definitely a different spot to watch practice.
