As we learned from Jets head coach Scott Arniel, Elias Salomonsson had blocked a shot that prompted the team’s medical staff to take a closer look. GM Kevin Cheveldayoff indicated that doctors wanted to examine him to ensure it was “nothing sinister,” which seemed to be a somewhat ominous choice of words.

However, today the Jets announced that Salomonsson has been recalled up to the big club. The team practices at 5 PM CT so we will have to wait for an update.
The team also lost Jack St. Ivany to the Capitals off waivers.
