Winnipeg Jets Practice Report

The Jets will practice for their final meeting of the four-game homestand against the Canucks.

The Jets hit the ice today following their 4-0 win over Devils last night. Be sure you check out Connor Hrabchak’s Next Day Takeaways column following the 50th win of the season for Winnipeg. They will prepare to face a Canucks team for a Sunday matinee. While Winnipeg continues to battle for top spot in the Central with Dallas who sit six back with a game in hand, Vancouver are fighting to keep their season alive now that St. Louis has cruised past them into the second wild card spot with eight straight wins. They find themselves on the outside looking in although they are just four points back with a game in hand.

Skate news:

As per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press all players are present and accounted for at hockey for all centre. We get the lines and D pairs via Mitchell Clinton of the Jets.

Lines and D pairs:

Connor-Scheifele-Iafallo
Ehlers-Lowry-Appleton
Niederreiter-Namestnikov-Perfetti
Gustafsson-Barron-Tanev

Morrissey-DeMelo
Samberg-Schenn
Stanley-Miller
Fleury-Heinola

Health news:

Following skate head coach Scott Arniel was asked for updates on Neal Pionk and Gabriel Vilardi who are both currently listed as week-to-week. He said Neal Pionk isn’t on the ice but he is “getting closer”. Regarding Gabriel Vilardi he isn’t even yet in weight room. Sounds like focus is more on him “just getting better”.
