They will prepare to face a Canucks team for a Sunday matinee. While Winnipeg continues to battle for top spot in the Central with Dallas who sit six back with a game in hand, Vancouver are fighting to keep their season alive now that St. Louis has cruised past them into the second wild card spot with eight straight wins. They find themselves on the outside looking in although they are just four points back with a game in hand.

Following skate head coach Scott Arniel was asked for updates on Neal Pionk and Gabriel Vilardi who are both currently listed as week-to-week. He said Neal Pionk isn’t on the ice but he is “getting closer”. Regarding Gabriel Vilardi he isn’t even yet in weight room. Sounds like focus is more on him “just getting better”.
