The Jets returned to Winnipeg riding a six-game win streak all of which came after their worst game of the season which cost them their captain Adam Lowry to a week to week injury in Utah back on January 20th. Hard to believe two weeks later they sit atop the NHL.
On Sunday the team sent Parker Ford and Brad Lambert back to the Moose in a move that was seen as one simply to accrue cap space. At least one and likely both will be recalled before they play their next game on Tuesday night against the Hurricanes with the team having just 11 healthy forwards. Both Lowry and Morgan Barron are considered week to week and it seems unlikely they play before the 4 Nations break.
Recall news:
Both Ford and Lambert were recalled this morning and are on the ice for practice.
Skate news:
Guys slowly filtering onto the ice. No Lowry or Barron which wasn’t unexpected. Also no changes to the lines or D pairings which is also not unexpected.

Post-practice:
Jets prospect Brad Lambert left the ice two hours after practice began. He easily could have gone to the Jets room but he chose to walk over to meet/take a photo with a young fan who had been holding up a sign during the skate. Afterwards we spoke to the mom as she left hockey for all centre. She was beyond happy her son Lucas got to meet the top prospect.
