Winnipeg Jets Practice Report

The Jets hit the ice for an optional practice ahead of tomorrow’s game against Red Wings.

The Jets suffered a disappointing OT loss to the Habs last night but continued to have themselves a strong December going 6-1-1 with 13 of 16 points in the standings bank. They sit with an 18-9-3 record which has them in third spot in the Central (but just one point back of the Stars and Avalanche who both have 40).

Given how special teams has been the Achilles heel of this club (PP ranked 23rd, PK ranked 27th) you’d expect that to be a big focus this practice as they prepare to welcome Andrew Copp and the Red Wings to town on Wednesday night.

Skate news:

The Jets held an optional this morning. Notable was Rasmus Kupari skating in a yellow, non-contact uniform.

Taking part today were:

Logan Stanley, Nate Schmidt, Dylan Samberg, Gabriel Vilardi, Adam Lowry, Declan Chisholm, Dominic Toninato, Mark Scheifele, AJF, Nino Niederreiter, Nikolaj Ehlers, Alex Iafallo, Cole Perfetti, Neal Pionk, Rasmus Kupari,Connor Hellebuyck & Laurent Brossoit.
