Winnipeg Jets Practice Report

Mired in first slump of season the Jets hit the ice for a practice to get ready for the Canucks.

The Jets find themselves mired in their first slump of the season having lost three straight and four of their last five games. This should come as no surprise given they’ve got seven guys on their long list of skating wounded.

Skate news:

Still no recall by Winnipeg which could simply be related to the fact that the Moose don’t resume their season until tomorrow and guys may still be getting back to the province after being on holiday break. Could be the team trying to save some cap money. As per Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet a new look to the lines today at practice.

Lines and D Pairs:

Connor-Dubois-Gagner
Lowry-Scheifele-Kuhlman
Barron-Stenlund-Jonsson-Fjallby
Eyssimont-Gustafsson-Harkins

Not sure Jets head coach Rick Bowness gets as many cameras to his pressers as Dancing Gabe just got as spoke for awhile about what this day means to him.

No better guy to celebrate. He’s so genuine. Came off the podium, gives me a high five and says “hi Dave.”
