The Jets took Friday off after they won their only game of the week in Detroit on Thursday night.
With eight players and one coach currently in covid protocol along with the absences due to injury for Blake Wheeler (latest) and David Gustafsson (latest) there are plenty of questions ahead of skate. Of course Nikolaj Ehlers was placed into protocol on the 10th and four players went in on the 11th so the team could be poised in the next few days to get quite a few players back.
Skate news:
According to Ken Wiebe of Sportnet a number of players are out of protocol and back on the ice for the Jets this morning including Nikolaj Ehlers, Kristian Reichel, Logan Stanley, Nathan Beaulieu and Ville Heinola. Ken also notes that Jansen Harkins isn’t skating today and as you can see from the lines and D pairs he supplied below they are currently using Logan Stanley and Nathan Beaulieu as forwards.
Also missing is CJ Suess who blocked a shot with his hand last game in Detroit and Evgeny Svechnikov.
Player Updates:
As per interim head coach Dave Lowry forward Jansen Harkins is in transit. He didn’t meet requirements to cross border. CJ Suess has an upper-body injury (could be longer than day-to-day) as does/is Evgeny Svechnikov (day-to-day)
Lines & D Pairs:

Copp-Scheifele-Ehlers
Vesalainen-Lowry-Reichel
