Following their stretch of six games in nine nights the Jets took Wednesday off to rest and recover ahead of a few days of practice in advance of their first game against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday. There was one minor tweak to the skaters for today as 2020 1st rounder Cole Perfetti was reassigned from the Moose to the taxi squad which makes him a participant in today’s skate.

Also according to Mitch newly reassigned Cole Perfetti was on the ice wearing number 91 for today’s skate. He added this detail about who was missing and one player who is currently on LTIR but participating fully:
“Scheifele, Wheeler, or Stastny at this morning’s skate.
Dominic Toninato seems to be a full participant.”

Jets coach Paul Maurice advised that Nate Thompson skated for the first time today and remains on IR. The missing players were simply due to maintenance and he expects them on the ice for skate tomorrow.
