While it wasn’t as bad as the loss on Friday the Jets dropped a second straight game last night as the Hawks took it 5-2. The big question for today will be the health of Adam Lowry.
Skate News:
Veteran centre Bryan Little continues to skate with the Jets during their practices as per Jamie Thomas of Jets TV. According to Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press “All the injured players and their moms are here, too. Mark Letestu. Bryan Little. Carl Dahlstrom. Tucker Poolman.”.

Mike adds this about practice itself ” I can tell you the 6 forwards in white jerseys are Scheifele, Wheeler, Laine, Ehlers, Connor, Roslovic. And the 6 forwards in blue are Copp, Perreault, Shore, Bourque, Harkins and Appleton. Injured Lowry, with arm in sling, not skating.”

Andrew Copp talks about the loss of Adam Lowry, the opportunity for him to slide back into the middle, never getting too comfortable on one line, focusing on the Hurricanes and Carolina being one of the quickest teams in NHL.
Laurent Brossoit on what it is like having his mom on the trip, his mom being a goalie mom, reflecting on the game in Vancouver where he shutout the Canucks, on Jansen Harkins’ dad coaching him during the summers in BC, playing soccer in Vancouver and having a bit of a late start to hockey.
Coach Maurice on the status of Adam Lowry, filling Lowry’s spot, nice to have a player with versatility like Copp, timing of the moms trip perfect for the team, importance of the two games before the All-Star break and the impact of Rod Brind’Amour on Carolina.

Health Update:
Coach Maurice indicated that Adam Lowry‘s injury is not short-term and it will be a month before they’re talking about his re-entry. Said they will recall a forward from the Moose this afternoon.
