The Jets are in Dallas following last night’s 2-1 win over the Predators as they look to close out this road trip with a fourth straight victory.  They’ve been good within the division going 4-1-0 in their five contests to date.

The Stars have been winning of late as well having won four in a row and are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games.  They don’t have a loss in regulation since they dropped a 3-0 decision to Pittsburgh back on October 26th.

Skate News:

As per Ken Wiebe of The Athletic Winnipeg aside from Blake Wheeler and Andrew Copp all others are present at skate today and he also indicated that Mathieu Perreault is filling in for Wheeler at centre.

Health News:

With Blake Wheeler and Andrew Copp both missing from today’s skate it isn’t a surprise that was the first question asked of Jets coach Paul Maurice today during his media availability.  Wheeler had a tough 2nd period in Nashville which saw him bang awkwardly into the pad of Juuse Saros which caused him to leave the game and then his next shift back he took a puck to the face.  Maurice’s response was “Blake had a tough 2nd period there yesterday so he’s just off. I would expect him to be feeling good tomorrow.  Andrew as well.  Just standard maintenance stuff.”

Up Next:
