The Skinny:

The Jets wrapped up the two-game home stand with two wins including last night’s 7-4 win over division rival Colorado which put them one point up on the Preds (with two games in hand) for top spot in the Central.

Today they were scheduled to practice at noon but changed it to a media availability ahead of their third straight game against a divisional opponent when they take on the Wild at XCEL Energy Center on Thursday.  Minnesota is coming off a 4-0 loss in Boston on Tuesday and sit in the 2nd wild card spot.

Practice Notes:

While the Jets didn’t have a formal practice, according to Sara Orlesky of TSN, seven players did skate including Laine, Copp, Appleton, Niku, Roslovic, Petan and Lemieux.

Coach Maurice:  Anything new injury wise after yesterday’s game?  On their record vs the Wild last season compared to the two games this season.  On the Jets lack of winning streaks this season and whether that is a cause for concern.  Reflections on last night’s game.  Which game did he like better, Dallas or Colorado?  How much does he think about the standings?  On winning so many games when they’ve given up 40 or more shots.  Thoughts on Hellebuyck.  Any plans for Brossoit this week?

Goalie Plan:

Coach Maurice confirmed that Connor Hellebuyck will be in net tomorrow night against the Wild and Laurent Brossoit will get the start the next night here in Winnipeg against the Red Wings.

Up Next:

The Jets head out of town for another one-game road trip as they will make the quick flight south to St. Paul to take on the Wild tomorrow night in Minnesota.  Be sure to keep it locked to illegalcurve.com for the AM Papers which go live at 7 AM followed by our pre-game report at 10:30 AM.
