The Jets return to practice today fresh off a 6-3 win over the Hawks with a focus on one of the hottest teams in the Western Conference as they prepare for an Edmonton team that has gone 7-2-1 in their last 10 games.

Practice Notes:

Highly optional skate for the Jets today according to Brian Munz of TSN 1290 Winnipeg who indicates that just Laine, Ehlers, Hellebuyck, Petan, Roslovic, Lemieux, Morrow, Niku are skating.

Coach Maurice:  On handling the high expectations on the Jets franchise.  Does he believe he is “out of the woods” as the new season moves on.  The small amount of separation between first and being out of the playoff picture.  On the improvement in the Pacific Division.  Is having a number of good Canadian teams good for the league?  Is there anything new with Ken Hitchcock coming into tomorrow’s game?  Of the 30 games how does he feel about the strength of the schedule?  On maintaining the same attitude against teams regardless of position.  Being 0-5 against the top 5 teams in the league.  Does the team get more “jacked” for playing the upper echelon teams?
