Note: The Jets are scheduled to practice this morning in Colorado Springs before travelling home to Winnipeg to conclude training camp. After placing two players on waivers, they are down to 24 healthy players and will need to make one more move before the 4 p.m. CT deadline. We’ll also have to see whether the Jets claim a goalie off the waiver wire, with multiple options available, and whether Danny Zhilkin and Henry Thrun clear. Stay tuned.
Note II: It took almost three months for Logan Stanley to find a new home, and his one-year, $1.5 million deal with the Islanders is a far cry from the long-term, high-dollar contract some projected for him during the summer.
Note III:The Moose returned to Winnipeg after playing a pair of pre-season games in St. Paul. They are holding a production day today, so there will not be a practice, but we will be conducting player interviews that will be featured on our YouTube channel.

Winnipeg Free Press: Is another goalie on Jets’ wish list? (Paywall). I have to think that the Jets will be making a pick up when the waiver wire hits 1 p.m. CT just to ensure they have a backup with NHL experience to play behind Stuart Skinner.
Sportsnet: Missing training camp is going to hurt Hellebuyck this season. This was a Sunday overreaction column and Michael doesn’t feel it’s going to impact the veteran netminder. I’m not so sure but I guess we’ll find out.

Global News: Jets ready to move on from Hellebuyck heartbreak. I suspect after the last couple of weeks they’ll be happy to turn their focus to the regular season although I suspect it’s not gonna stop once they start hitting the road. Especially awkward that the second game of the season is in Michigan.
