Note: The Jets stayed off the ice, although we did hear from Dylan DeMelo after Winnipeg wrapped up a five-games-in-eight-nights stretch to open the season with a 3-1-1 record. They are off today for Thanksgiving.

Note II: The Moose were back in action Saturday night in Chicago after suffering their first loss of the season the night before in Grand Rapids. Yesterday marked the third time they’ve faced the Wolves already this season, with the two teams having played four games in total. The visitors _______________. The team is off today.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Jets thankful for bright start to campaign. Given all the noise around the team they are off to a solid start. But as we looked at the schedule does not get any easier with the teams they are about to face.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets encouraged by play through first five games. (Paywall). Sitting in the mix is exactly where the team needed to be. It’s not to say that there aren’t areas of concern but there is enough to be buoyed by in the present.

Illegal Curve Hockey Show: Saturday Podcast. After 16 years of Saturday mornings, the Illegal Curve Hockey Show wrapped up its final Saturday edition this weekend ahead of its transition to a Monday-to-Friday daily format. The show covered the Jets’ lack of offensive production from their second and fourth lines, Connor Hellebuyck’s situation, the need for the fourth line to establish an identity and where Elias Salomonsson fits into the lineup once healthy, among other topics.
