Note: The Jets are done. The Moose are done. We will still try to get you anything relevant to the pro hockey clubs of Manitoba during the next little bit. Of course the big focus is on the 2026 NHL Draft for which the Jets hold the 8th overall selection. We will be spending quite a bit of time learning about the players who could hear their name get called by Winnipeg at the end of June.
Note II: Jets winger Gabriel Vilardi showed off his hand-eye coordination, batting this puck out of the air and into the back of the net. It turned out to be the game-winner for Canada, as he finished with 1G and 1A. With the win, Canada finished first in Group B.
Jets news:
Global News: Loss of Nikolaj Ehlers continues to haunt Winnipeg Jets. The speed, the ability to gain the zone and his shot were all missing this season on the second line for Winnipeg. And when you see what he did in Game 2 for Carolina on Saturday night you saw all of that on display.
