Note: The Jets dominated most aspects of the game last night when they welcomed the Canucks to town but the play of Vancouver’s netminder Kevin Lankinen almost cost the home team a couple of points. Eventually, Mark Scheifele and Gabriel Vilardi solved him which set up Josh Morrissey, in his first game back, to be the OT hero giving Winnipeg their third straight victory at home and points in six straight. They woke up today just five points back of the Kraken, who lost last night, for the final wild card spot. Certainly making things interesting. They are off today.
Note II: The Moose practiced on Saturday as they got ready for the re-match this afternoon against the Marlies. It’s a big game for Tyrel Bauer as the 2020 draft pick of Winnipeg plays in his bobblehead game. Puck drop is at 2 PM CST.
Note III: Speaking of the AHL club of Manitoba, we had some folks who were curious about how the Jets moves on Trade Deadline Day impacted the Moose playoff-eligible players. Check out our breakdown of how it works here.
Note IV: I am not sure there is a Jets prospect that displays their excitement when they find the back of the net as exuberantly as Kevin He (2024 4th) does. His 35th goal of the season proved to be the game-winner for Flint.

Winnipeg Free Press: Morrissey hits milestone in Jets win over Vancouver. (Paywall). It’s sure gonna be awkward when the NHL reverts to Jets 2.0 (or combined 1.0) records and all of these ones that combine Jets/Thrashers end up falling by the wayside. Records aside check out Wieber’s game recap.
Winnipeg Free Press: ‘I really believe I’m an NHL player’: Rosen ready for takeoff with Jets. (Paywall). He’s going to have a lot of runway in Winnipeg to show that this statement is accurate.
Vancouver Sun: Kevin Lankinen keeps ’em in it in 3-2 OT loss vs. Jets. The Canucks netminder was the only reason the game wasn’t a blowout.
