Note: It was a busy final day of Development Camp on Friday in Winnipeg as the Jets wrapped up their five-day prospect camp with a morning scrimmage. The scrimmage featured three different formats, beginning with 5-on-5 before transitioning to 4-on-4 and then 3-on-3, with a shootout following each segment. We’ve highlighted some of what we saw here. After the skate concluded we spoke with Zach Nehring (watch here) and Viggo Björck (watch here). The players will all spread out for the summer with some returning for training camp in September.
Note II: We also had a 15+ minute chat with GM Kevin Cheveldayoff discussing Free Agency, Development Camp, Connor Hellebuyck and much more. You can watch it in full here. We’ve timestamped it with questions for your convenience.
Note III: The hockey world hasn’t slowed down since the NHL Draft. On today’s Illegal Curve Hockey Show, we’ll break down the Jets’ 2026 draft class, share our takeaways from Development Camp, discuss the additions of Stuart Skinner and Mario Ferraro in free agency, look at what other moves could be on the horizon, and cover all the latest news from Winnipeg and around the NHL. Guests include Jets team reporter Jamie Thomas and new defenceman Mario Ferraro. Join us at 9 AM CT for two hours of hockey talk here.

NHL.com: Busy offseason continues for Cheveldayoff and Jets. It will be interesting to see if things stay busy in the NHL or if summer break kicks in.
