Note: The Jets are down to just one RFA, as defenceman Tyrel Bauer has yet to sign a new contract. It’ll be interesting to see whether they consider a Johnny Kovacevic-type deal, one with a bit more term in the hope of discouraging a waiver claim.

TSN: Sweden expects Bjorck to be with Jets and unavailable for World Junior title defence. Viggo Bjorck was selected eighth-overall by the Winnipeg Jets in June’s NHL Entry Draft, and while Sweden would love to have him back to defend their World Juniors gold, head coach Magnus Havelid says it wouldn’t surprise him if the crafty young forward stuck on the Jets roster.
