Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: The Jets season came to a conclusion last night as they lost in heartbreaking fashion in overtime when the Stars found the back of the net on the power play early in extra time. Of course with everything that Mark Scheifele was going through after losing his dad the night before hockey became somewhat secondary. It was an emotional for his teammates after the goal and it was an emotional handshake line. There was also bad news when it comes to Josh Morrissey who left in the 2nd and didn’t return. Head coach Scott Arniel indicated post-game the news wasn’t good. The team returns from Texas and will hold their end of season media availabilities although we don’t know yet when that will be.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Season ends in Texas-sized heartbreak for Jets, Scheifele. It was already a big ask for the Jets to come back from a 3-1 deficit and while they gave it a great effort they just couldn’t get it done against a very good Stars team.
