Note II: The only Jets prospects still playing are almost ready to have an OHL showdown as Colby Barlow (2023 1st) and his Generals club will go up against Jacob Julien (2023 5th) and his juggernaut Knights squad who have yet to lose a game through three rounds (12-0). Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: ‘I can’t wait for that battle’: Jets play the Dallas Stars in round 2 of the NHL playoffs. So many health related questions for both teams as Winnipeg is obviously missing Mark Scheifele and Josh Morrissey while Dallas is without Jason Robertson and Miro Heiskinen. Despite these potential absences I expect this to be a heck of a series.

Winnipeg Sun: ‘I turned it around’: Connor rebounds after a shaky start to help Jets beat back the Blues. The Jets are gonna need the regular season version when they take on a better Stars team.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets in need of repair: Morrissey and Scheifele casualties of a physical series against the Blues. That’s gonna be the big question marks today when we hear from Scott Arniel.

Winnipeg Free Press: Pionk, Lowry’s impact on Jets exemplified in Game 7. (Paywall). Both needed to step up in the absences of Morrissey and Scheifele and they certainly accomplished what they needed to do.

Global News: Jets answered the bell in high-stakes Game 7. There was a ton of pressure on this Jets team to right the wrongs of the past. Regardless of the amount of times they said they aren’t looking backwards they knew they needed to overcome this first round challenge.

Global News: Jets and Blues doled out plenty of punishment in bruising series. That was as taxing a series as I can recall.

Duluth News Tribune: Winnipeg ‘Bulldogs’ will Jets onward in Stanley Cup Playoffs. Not bad when you consider there are four former members of UMD (Samberg, Pionk, Iafallo and Toninato) on the squad. Makes it easy for folks in Duluth to pick a team to cheer for these playoffs. I didn’t realize that three of these Bulldogs lost in the NCAA Championship to a Jim Montgomery led Denver squad.
