Winnipeg Sun: Full-circle moment for Jets prospect Alfons Freij. We’d seen the photo the Jets had been tweeting of a nine-year old Alfons at hockey for all centre and on Thursday he had a chance to explain the significance of the picture of him as a kid in Winnipeg.

Winnipeg Sun: No McGroarty red flags, Roy says; Lambert ready for youth movement. Don’t think we will hear any of the involved parties openly discussing this situation so the comments by Jimmy Roy were pretty much expected. Scott also wrote about the opportunity ahead for prospects.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets 2024 draft pick Alfons Freij back nine years after childhood visit. (Paywall). Shows you that hockey can really make the world a much smaller place. Pretty neat story involving the 2nd rounder of Winnipeg.

Winnipeg Free Press: Disappointment spurs goaltender DiVincentiis to refine his game. (Paywall). It was notable to see the prospect on the ice yesterday in a new Moose helmet. I suspect he will get the Thomas Milic program of getting the bulk of starts in the ECHL to kick off his pro career. Wieber wrote a good story about him.

The Athletic Winnipeg: Why the Winnipeg Jets should extend Cole Perfetti long-term this offseason. (Paywall). Murat makes the case for Winnipeg to sign a long-term deal with their 2020 first rounder.

TSN: Ranking all seven Canadian goaltending tandemsNow that the dust has pretty much settled on NHL Free Agency, it’s time to list the best goaltender duos amongst the Canadian teams. NHL Hockey analyst and former goalie Martin Biron joins SportsCentre to rank the goalie tandems from the seven Canadian teams.

Jets Development Camp:

Illegal Curve Hockey: Jets Director of Player Development Jimmy Roy. Following the draft in Vegas where Winnipeg added four more prospects to the pool we heard from Director of Player Development Jimmy Roy who spoke about the new additions as well as the many other prospects and camp invitees at hockey for all centre for Development Camp.

Illegal Curve Hockey: Media availability with Alfons Freij. Following the first skate for Jets prospect at Development Camp we heard from newly drafted 2nd rounder Alfons Freij about returning to a hockey for all centre he is somewhat familiar with after playing in Winnipeg with his Swedish club as a nine year old.

Illegal Curve Hockey: Media availability with Brad Lambert. Jets 2022 1st rounder Brad Lambert is a wily vet now at these Development Camps and he spoke to us following the first day on the ice in Winnipeg.

Illegal Curve Hockey: Media availability with Kevin HeFollowing the first day of on ice skating at the hockey for all centre we heard from Jets 4th rounder Kevin He.
