Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: The Jets took on the Kings last night in Winnipeg and they got a great performance from their newly formed 2nd line of Cole Perfetti (2G 1A), Kyle Connor (3A) and Sean Monahan (1G) led the way en route to a 4-3 win by Winnipeg which ended their losing streak. Winnipeg were scheduled to practice today but have cancelled. They are next scheduled to practice tomorrow.

Note II: Winnipegger and NHL linesman Ryan Galloway worked his last NHL game last night as the Jets took on the Kings.  He had plenty of loyal supporters inside CLC to cheer him on. He got a nice 3rd period shoutout which saw the crowd give him a standing ovation. Once the game ended classy gestures by both L.A (Kopital here) and Winnipeg (Lowry here) as they all stayed out on the ice to shake his hand, give him a hug for his years of service to the league.

Note III: The Moose will get loose this evening in Abbotsford as they take on the Canucks, a team they played during their recent six-game homestand, which saw both clubs win one game. This will be an important contest for Manitoba as they look to put more ground between themselves and Iowa/Chicago as well as trying to gain ground on Texas for the fourth playoff spot in the Central. Puck drop is at 9 PM CDT.

Note IV: Some prospect news as Jets draft pick Brad Lambert was named AHL Rookie of the Month for March on Monday.
