Note: The Jets held a lightly attended optional practice on Wednesday after picking up their seventh straight win on Tuesday night. With it being a gameday all eyes will be on morning skate which gets underway at 10:30 AM CST. All the relevant news will be posted in the pre-game report so check back for that. Puck drop is at 7 PM CST.

Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Chicago, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game.

Note III: Even though the Jets don’t play game 41 (aka the midpoint of the season) until this evening Winnipeg GM Kevin Cheveldayoff will be having his midseason address today. We will have it fully covered so stay tuned to our YouTube channel.

Note IV: The Moose did battle with the Senators last night in Belleville and despite the addition of Rasmus Kupari on a conditioning stint they saw a tight game (1-0 after 40) end as a 4-0 loss, which was their fifth straight loss. Today they head to Laval where they will face the Rocket for two games this weekend.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Jets leaving more than a little doubt in mind of opponents. The words we heard out of Columbus following their five goal loss to Winnipeg were ones we aren’t used to hearing to describe this Jets club.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets’ nearly impenetrable defence has club atop NHL. (Paywall). It starts with the forwards and runs through to the goaltending but we are seeing a total team commitment to good D. Even when they make errors the team quickly moves to rectify it.
