Note: The Jets concluded their four-game homestand last night with an impressive 2-1 win over the Hurricanes. Impressive based on the performance of netminder Laurent Brossoit and the top line that is otherwise there was a lot of defending during the 60 minute contest. They are scheduled to hold an optional practice today at 11 AM CST so stay tuned for the Practice Report.

Note II: The Moose were off on Monday and they will hit the ice for practice this morning at hockey for all centre at 10:30 AM CST as they prepare for a weekend set against the Wranglers in Calgary. We’ll have a Practice Report so be sure to check it out.

Note III: Big news from Monday was that the Jets had signed Nino Niederreiter to a three-year contract extension.

Winnipeg Sun: Laurent Brossoit finding his game after sluggish start.. There was quite a bit of concern that backup goaltending would again be an issue this season but last night’s performance by Laurent Brossoit put that to rest. Of course now he just needs to ensure he keeps providing quality starts for his team.
