Note: The Jets and Moose are all in offseason mode but is there really ever an offseason? If there is any news we will have it for you here.

Note II: The next big event on the NHL calendar will be the Entry Draft in Nashville which gets underway tomorrow (1st round) and Thursday (rounds 2-7). Remember to join us for live IC coverage on our YouTube channel of the first round of the Draft on Wednesday night at 6 PM CDT.

Note III: Remember when you were young and a parent told you ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it’. With that in mind the NHL Awards were last night. I really just turned it on just before the Vezina was awarded and then turned it off immediately after. Winnipeg goalie Connor Hellebuyck ended up in 3rd place in voting for top netminder in the NHL.

Update: Darren Dreger indicated this AM that Pierre-Luc Dubois prefers the L.A. option.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Habs back in the picture as Jets, Kings stall on Pierre-Luc Dubois. The line Friedman recounted the other day that was told to him by former NBA star turned executive Isiah Thomas about how everyone lies during the Draft reinforces that so much of what you read, hear or watch needs to be taken with a heavy dose of skepticism. Everyone has an agenda and often the truth isn’t high on that priority list.

The Athletic: What we’re hearing on a Pierre-Luc Dubois trade, the Canadiens and Kings’ offers and the Jets’ options. (Paywall). Maybe I am just too deep into this morass but I am not sure what exactly is new in this piece that wasn’t already out there.

TSN Insider Trading: Dreger with the latest about the Jets (Dubois, Hellebuyck & Scheifele). Amazing what 12 hours (or so) can do as on Monday morning he said the news (from Sunday night) on Hellebuyck and Scheifele was quiet to things starting to “simmer” by the evening in Nashville with all the GMs in the same city.

Sportsnet: What does Pierre-Luc Dubois have to offer to his next prospective team? Adam looks at what a new team would be getting in the big centre.

Global News: Busy off-season for Jets to ramp up by Wednesday’s draft. I suspect, and maybe I am in the minority, that only one of the four is dealt by the time the Draft concludes on Thursday. What say you?

Sportsnet: Jets’ Connor Hellebuyck talks Dubois, trade rumours and quest for the Cup. Some interesting comments from number 37 in this chat from Nashville.

Sportsnet: Friedman with the latest on Pierre-Luc Dubois, Winnipeg Jets & L.A. Kings. Can’t do a 32 Thoughts Podcast these days without a Jets mention. On the episode released today Jeff Marek asked Elliotte Friedman for the latest regarding Pierre-Luc Dubois and the Los Angeles Kings.

TSN 1050: Dreger with the latest on the Winnipeg Jets (Dubois, Hellebuyck & Scheifele). TSN Insider Darren Dreger joined First Up on TSN 1050 to chat about all things NHL. For folks that follow the Jets three of the names that have been the focal point were brought up in the discussion with Aaron Korolnek and Carlo Colaiacovo.

TSN: How aggressive should the Habs be in trying to acquire DuboisAccording to reports, it’s a two-horse race between the Kings and Canadiens in their attempts to acquire Pierre-Luc Dubois from Winnipeg. TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joins Ryan Rishaug to discuss how aggressive should the Habs be in trying to trade for Dubois.

TSN: I’m not sure the timing makes sense for Dubois and the CanadiensTSN Hockey analyst Frankie Corrado joins SportsCentre to discuss Taylor Hall getting traded from the Bruins to the Blackhawks and how he can help Connor Bedard in his rookie season, and the Canadiens re-engaging conversations with the Jets surrounding Pierre-Luc Dubois.

Sportsnet: With trade rumours swirling around the Kings and Jets, who could be on the moveJonathan Davis of NHL Network Radio joins The Jeff Marek Show to discuss what the Kings and Jets would look for in a trade and explains who could be on the move including Dubois, Hellebuyck, and Iafallo.

Daily Faceoff: Discussing some of the other teams reportedly interested in Pierre-Luc Dubois. Insider Frank Seravalli adds some insight into other teams vying for the services of the Jets centre. He also looks at one of the OG teams who has re-engaged in the process.

NHL Network: Jets Offseason Outlook. The Jets are in for an interesting offseason with several players potentially on the way out. NHL Tonight takes a look at the decisions that need to made over the next couple of months.

680 CJOB: Draft preview with Sam Consentino & a chat with Winnipeg prospect Rutger McGroarty. Jets first-round selection, Rutger McGroarty, pops on with Cam & Kelly to talk draft memories and look back at his year. Hockey & Draft Analyst with Sportsnet, Sam Consentino joins to preview who could be available at 18th for Winnipeg at Wednesday’s NHL Draft. What’s the latest on Pierre-Luc Dubois? Is he off to Los Angeles? All that and lots more!
