Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Jets, Moose & Ice news, video and audio.

Note: The stage is set! The Jets will face the Golden Knights in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with game 1 next Tuesday in Vegas.

Note II: Of course prior to finding out who their playoff opponent would be the Jets needed to conclude their 82 game regular season which they did last night in Colorado dropping a 4-2 decision to the Avs. The game was unexpectedly close given Winnipeg had rested six players with nothing to gain from the contest and Colorado had a chance to clinch top spot in the Central with a victory.

Note III: Today at 11 AM there will be news regarding the ‘Official launch of the 2023 Winnipeg Whiteout Street Parties’. Economic Development Winnipeg is hosting a media availability. (Update: You can watch it here).

Note IV: The Moose travelled on Thursday (sans Dominic Toninato who was recalled) from Texas to Illinois. They are in Rockford today where they are set to practice as they prepare to face the Icehogs tomorrow night.

Note V: It feels like the Ice have been off for weeks after they swept through the first round of the playoffs. They will face the Warriors in round 2 for the second straight year. Game 1 is tonight in Winnipeg and puck drop is at 7:05 PM CDT.

Note VI: Reminder to join us tomorrow morning for a comprehensive Jets playoff preview show on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show which goes live at 9 AM CDT.
