Jets news:
Winnipeg Sun: Revitalized Jets must keep momentum going. They’ll have a good shot to see if they can keep this rolling against a Hurricanes team that has been shutout in two straight games and may have lost star Sebastian Aho for awhile.
The Athletic Winnipeg: What if Kevin Cheveldayoff was right (and I was wrong) about post-deadline situation. (Paywall). As always some interesting thoughts from Murat including the notion that the team benefits from carrying extra players that they wouldn’t if they had a player with a bigger cap hit on the roster.
CBC: True North moves one step closer to buying Winnipeg’s Portage Place mall. They are gonna have quite a bit of real estate stretching from Ellice to St. Mary’s if this deal goes through.
Jets audio:
Sportsnet: 32 Thoughts. The Jets got quite a bit of airtime on the podcast with Marek and Friedman after they swept through the Sunshine State. The pair, especially Friedman, had plenty to say about the importance of goalie Connor Hellebuyck.
