Note: Most of the Jets chatter on Wednesday was focused on who the team might select with the 14th overall pick at the NHL Draft this summer.
Note II: The Moose hosted their first playoff game in four years last night as they went into game 3 needing a win to keep their five-game series alive against the Admirals. And given how the game looked after 20 minutes with Milwaukee holding a 2-0 lead it didn’t look good but the home team gave the close to 5000 fans inside plenty to cheer about in the remaining 40 minutes. Special teams played a huge role as they killed 7/7 penalties and went 2/4 on the power play as part of five straight (Barron, Malott, Gawanke, Jones & Johnson) goals in the 2nd and 3rd to force a game 4 on Friday night. Today they are scheduled to practice.
Note III: The Ice were also in action last night after dropping game 3 in Moose Jaw on Tuesday. They used a three goal 2nd period to regain momentum which ultimately led them to a 5-3 win over the Warriors to take a commanding 3-1 series lead. They return to Winnipeg for game 4 which goes at the Ice Cave on Friday night.
