Note: The Jets practiced yesterday and the good news for the club was that Andrew Copp was in a regular uniform skating with the third line. They go for three wins in a row when they welcome the Bruins to town this evening. Morning skate gets underway at 10:30 AM so stay tuned for the pre-game report to get the full 411 ahead of the game. Puck drop is at 7 PM CDT and following the final buzzer we want you to join the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show.

Note II: The Moose travelled to Iowa on Thursday although they were one player short with the recall of Ville Heinola on an emergency basis back up to the Jets. Today they are scheduled to practice in Des Moines ahead of their games against the Wild on Saturday and Sunday.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Copp shaken, but dodged concussion this time. Given the number of times he has had to be in protocol already it is a huge sigh of relief for him as an athlete but also for Andrew Copp the human as we know how impactful concussions can be on people.

Winnipeg Sun: Conflicting emotions for Jets Stastny, Copp, as trade deadline approaches. Can’t be easy when every text, every phone call you get between now and Monday afternoon is one that could have a huge impact.

Winnipeg Free Press: Versatile forward relieved to be symptom free. (Paywall). And coincidentally one of the teams reportedly interested in his services will be in the arena tonight. Jeff wrote about Copp dodging a bullet.

Winnipeg Free Press: Copp, Stastny deal with uncertainty. (Paywall). While folks say they are professional athletes and this is just part of the business the fact is these guys have been part of this team for awhile (especially Copp who has been in Winnipeg for eight seasons) and it cannot be easy sitting around waiting to see if a phone call prior to Monday will potentially have you playing on a different team for the rest of the season.

Global News: Copp reflective when discussing injury scare, future as trade deadline loomsWieber reacts to today’s media availability with respect to the versatile forward’s future.

The Athletic: How would Andrew Copp look with the Avalanche? Breaking down the Jets forward’s trade cost, lineup fit, more. (Paywall). I personally don’t see the Jets making a trade within the division but Murat and Peter still engaged in the ‘what it’ exercise with their combined piece.

Chicago Sun-Times: If trade happens, Dominik Kubalik’s Blackhawks tenure will come to unsatisfying end. Ben Pope reporting (on twitter, not in his article, which has Edmonton and Anaheim as frontrunners) that the Jets are also a team who have interest in the left shooting winger. Read more about the Czech forward in his article.

Jets video:

TSN: Copp on trade deadline: It’s really hard when one phone call can change your lifeAndrew Copp discusses how happy he is to have avoided a concussion after sustaining a hit to the head. Copp also comments on the anxiousness that comes with trade deadline, and and how being out due to injury sparked talk of him being traded.
