Note: The Jets are off as they are on All-Star break. However you can watch Kyle Connor participate in faster skater at tonight’s All-Star Skills competition.

Note II: After a few days of practice an augmented Moose club were supposed to be ready to kick off four straight games against the Stars this evening in Winnipeg. However due to inclement weather and related travel issues tonight’s game was moved to Sunday afternoon. Today will likely be a practice day for Manitoba instead and then game one of this four game set between them and Texas starts tomorrow night in Winnipeg.

Note III: Both the Jets and Moose will get an attendance boost starting on Tuesday, February 8th with the Province of Manitoba changing capacity limitations from 250 to 50% capacity which for the Jets at Canada Life is approximately 7500 and for the Moose it is approximately 4400.

Jets news:

Global News: Kyle Connor emerges as Jets’ MVP during 1st half of NHL season. Both he and Pierre-Luc Dubois have been outstanding this season but the Jets first rounder from 2015 has really emerged this season as he goes from being a 40 goal threat to a 50 goal threat. His play overall has improved and perhaps his usage on the PK has led to greater defensive awareness for the incredibly talented forward.

Sportsnet: Jets mid-season review: Performance, consistency in need of improvement. Lots to reflect on just past the midpoint of the season and that is what Wieber does in his latest piece. Includes a preamble, key stats, best surprise so far, biggest disappointment so far and the biggest question mark.

Illegal Curve: Eight Manitobans have won multiple 50/50 draws from Winnipeg Jets & Manitoba Moose games this season. Whether they’ve got a lucky horseshoe or a rabbit’s foot, these folks have all taken home at least two 50/50 pots this season.

Jets video:

TSN: Jesse Pollock of Bardown chats on ice etiquette with Mark Scheifele. Whether it’s on the ice or at home, Mark Scheifele of the Winnipeg Jets doesn’t swear. Jesse Pollock asked him how he does it, and for some substitute words to use instead.

Global News: Weekly segment with John Shannon on the Winnipeg Jets. 680 CJOB hockey analyst John Shannon looks back at the Winnipeg Jets’ shaky first half. What has been the biggest surprise and who needs to step up for the Jets to get back into the Western playoff mix?
