Note: The Jets were off on Sunday after hitting the midpoint of the season on Saturday with a big 4-1 win over the Blues. Today they are in Philadelphia where they will practice ahead of tomorrow’s game against the Flyers. The expectation is they could be getting back some players from their laundry list of injured (as well as Josh Morrissey who was in protocol) so stay tuned for the Practice Report.
Note II: The Moose fell short on Saturday against the Canucks in the first ever meeting between the two clubs but on Sunday they earned a split courtesy of a 5-3 win over Abbotsford. Lots of contributions across the board including Jeff Malott who had two goals in the game which allowed him to hit the 20 point mark for the second straight season (coincidentally in the same number of games). Manitoba improved to 23-11-2-1 on the season and they currently sit 2nd in the Central. They are off today.
Note III: Jets 2018 3rd rounder Nathan Smith finished up his pre-Olympics schedule with three assists as his Minnesota State club swept Arizona State this weekend. He has 41 pts (15G 26A) in 28 games. Leads NCAA in scoring by 5 points. Next stop is L.A. & then Beijing for him.

Winnipeg Free Press: Moose need some stability. (Paywall). While it is true that the team would be happy to have a number of their top scorers as well as their glut of Jets D prospects in the lineup on a nightly basis, I think it has been incredibly beneficial to this team to be able to learn how to adapt with those players missing and most importantly continue to win games with all these absences.
