Note: Jets made some news on Thursday afternoon as the team announced that they had extended goalie prospect Mikhail Berdin to a two-year extension.

Note II:  More news this morning as CJOB and the Jets announced that Paul Edmonds will lead play-by-play coverage of the Jets’ 2020-21 NHL season games on their station alongside Jamie Thomas of JetsTV. Congrats to both of these guys. Sorry to see Paul leave our station but I am happy that he will continue to be the voice of the Jets on radio.

Sportsnet:  NHL could play all games in U.S. if all-Canadian division can’t workThis seems a smidge late in the game to me.  Perhaps the NHL is simply trying to exert some leverage over the federal government.  It’s one thing to move a single team (Raptors/Blue Jays) but you’re telling me they actually think they could move all seven Canadian franchises to the States and make it work.  I simply don’t see that as possible.
